Soul Enchanted

I remember hearing many sayings as I was growing up…many of them I say to my children.

Every cloud has a silver lining… is one of those sayings. As I painted this artpiece I was thinking about what it really meant to me. As we all interpret things our own unique way, I am sure it means something different to you.

I sometimes struggle to find a rhyme or reason for things that happen in my life. The question of ‘Why did that have to happen?’ presents more question still. So I remember that ‘every cloud has a silver lining’. So in looking for this silver lining, I look at the sky and envisage the spirit of birds pulling silver thread-lined clouds through the sky. Who says that only the wind gets all the fun in moving those clouds!

So in those brief moments when my mind is imagining beauty and magic, my mind is not on what is troubling me. It can clear my mind so that I can think about what to do next, or what I need to change, or what I can learn. That’s my silver lining.
